Deprecate modus-themes-region; use overrides 
This is the last user option that we need to deprecate for the release
of version 4.  Now all colour-related changes happen through palette
overrides.

Implement rainbow mappings 
These are now used in the rainbow-delimiters package, but there may be
more applications.

Just to be sure that it is easier to spot, as the different shades of
gray may pose a problem for some users.

These can always be configured via overrides.
