Stefan Haller 22db808a01 Add a helper function for formatting list section headers
We want to change their design, and we want to do it only in one place.

Stefan Haller 4e907c6b3e Compute list index conversions independently of rendering
The model<->view index conversions were derived from arrays that only
renderLines populated. That made them depend on the list having been
rendered (so a conversion before the first render ignored the non-model
items), and it made them go stale whenever the model changed after a
render: converting an index then returned a wrong result, and once the
model had grown past the last rendered length the conversion indexed a
too-short array and panicked (seen in cherry_pick under -race).

The conversion is a pure function of the current list length and the
current non-model items, and needs none of the rendered display strings.
Compute it directly and drop the cached arrays, so the result is always
consistent with the current model and no longer depends on rendering.

searchModelCommits converts every commit's index, and building the
non-model items can be O(len) mid-rebase, so it would now be quadratic;
snapshot the non-model items once via modelToViewIndexConverter instead
of rebuilding them per index.

Stefan Haller 196e0a3c17 Copy gocui files into lazygit repo under pkg/gocui
I copied all files except dot files (.github and .gitignore), the _examples
folder, and go.mod/go.sum.

At some point we may want to copy the files back to the gocui repo when other
clients (e.g. lazydocker) want to use the newer versions of them.

Stefan Haller 3eb5841b83 Fix searching commits or main view after switching repos
When switching to a different repo, and then back to the original one, searching
would no longer work. The reason is that our contexts set callbacks on their
views; when switching to a different repo we instantiate a new set of contexts,
so they will overwrite the views' callbacks with their new ones, but when
switching back to the original repo, we reuse the old contexts because they are
still in memory, but they won't set their callbacks again since they only do
this on construction.

To fix this, replace the view-local callbacks with a global one on the gui that
takes the view as an argument, so that the callback can look up the associated
context dynamically.

Stefan Haller 2b41a27d92 Fix search results being off by two lines during rebase or in divergence view
We forgot to convert the model indices to view indices in searchModelCommits.
This needs to be done for search results to be highlighted correctly in the
"divergence from upstream" view, which adds "--- Remote/Local ---" entries, and
during a rebase, where we have "--- Pending rebase todos ---" and "--- Commits
---" which offset view indices from model indices.

Stefan Haller 64cd7cd9f6 Adjust line number for working copy when editing a line
There are two ways to jump to the editor on a specific line: pressing `e` in the
staging or patch building panels, or clicking on a hyperlink in a delta diff. In
both cases, this works perfectly in the unstaged changes view, but in other
views (either staged changes, or an older commit) it can often jump to the wrong
line; this happens when there are further changes to the file being viewed in
later commits or in unstaged changes.

This commit fixes this so that you end up on the right line in these cases.

Stefan Haller 442592a149 Show diff for range selection in commits and sub-commits panel
In other views that show lists of commits (reflog and stash) it doesn't make
sense to show a range diff of selected entries because they don't form a linear
sequence, so we keep the previous behavior of showing the diff for the free end
of the selection range in those view.

The same applies to the commits view if the selection range includes rebasing
todos; these can have an arbitrary order, and a range diff doesn't make sense
for those.

Stefan Haller a67eda39a5 Rerender fewer views when their width changes
In d5b4f7bb3e and 58a83b0862 we introduced a combined mechanism for rerendering
views when either their width changes (needed for the branches view which
truncates long branch names), or the screen mode (needed for those views that
display more information in half or full screen mode, e.g. the commits view).

This was a bad idea, because it unnecessarily rerenders too many views when just
their width changes, which causes a noticable lag. This is a problem, for
example, when selecting a file in the files panel that has only unstaged
changes, and then going to one that has both staged and unstaged changes; this
splits the main view, causing the side panels to become a bit narrower, and
rerendering all those views took almost 500ms on my machine. Another similar
example is entering or leaving staging mode.

Fix this by being more specific about which views need rerendering under what
conditions; this improves the time it takes to rerender in the above scenarios
from 450-500s down to about 20ms.

This reintroduces the code that was removed in 58a83b0862, but in a slightly
different way.

Jesse Duffield a5f3515ad8 Set groundwork for better disabled reasons with range select
Something dumb that we're currently doing is expecting list items
to define an ID method which returns a string. We use that when copying
items to clipboard with ctrl+o and when getting a ref name for diffing.

This commit gets us a little deeper into that hole by explicitly requiring
list items to implement that method so that we can easily use the new
helper functions in list_controller_trait.go.

In future we need to just remove the whole ID thing entirely but I'm too
lazy to do that right now.

Jesse Duffield 54bd94ad24 Add SetSelection function for list contexts and use it in most places
The only time we should call SetSelectedLineIdx is when we are happy for a
select range to be retained which means things like moving the selected line
index to top top/bottom or up/down a page as the user navigates.

But in every other case we should now call SetSelection because that will
set the selected index and cancel the range which is almost always what we
want.

Stefan Haller d5b4f7bb3e Rerender certain views when their width changes
Situations where a view's width changes:
- changing screen modes
- enter staging or patch building
- resizing the terminal window

For the first of these we currently have special code to force a rerender, since
some views render different content depending on whether they are in full-screen
mode. We'll be able to remove that code now, since this new generic mechanism
takes care of that too.

But we will need this more general mechanism for cases where views truncate
their content to the view width; we'll add one example for that later in this
branch.

Stefan Haller 6dc25d796b Visualize local branch heads in commits panel
We want to mark all local branch heads with a "*" in the local commits panel, to
make it easier to see how branches are stacked onto each other. In order to not
confuse users with "*" markers that they don't understand, do this only for the
case where users actually use stacked branches; those users are likely not going
to be confused by the display. This means we want to filter out a few branch
heads that shouldn't get the marker: the current branch, any main branch, and
any old branch that has been merged to master already.

Jesse Duffield add1de4138 Use boolean field to control whether viewport is refreshed on line focus
Go really doesn't like us doing anything inheritance-y: it does not support open recursion meaning
it's really hard to re-use code. As such, here we're falling back to conditional logic.

This fixes an issue where our ListContextTrait was calling FocusLine which was intended to be
overridden by ViewportListContextTrait, but the subclassed function wasn't being called. I'm
not actually sure how this went wrong given that it was working fine in the past, but at any rate,
the new code is easy to follow.
