git clone https://github.com/lcpz/awesome-freedesktop.git ~/.config/awesome/freedesktop

Also available via LuaRocks:

luarocks install lcpz/awesome-freedesktop

Usage

First, include it into your rc.lua:

local freedesktop = require("freedesktop")

Then check out the submodules you want:

• Desktop icons
• Menu
